The Legacy
For thirty years, Carol Wolk welcomed collectors, decorators, and curious wanderers into Somewhere in Time, her beloved shop in Northport, New York. She had an eye that could find beauty in the overlooked and story in the silent. The shop became a landmark—a place where strangers became regulars, and regulars became friends.
Carol passed in 2021. Her daughter-in-law Lisa, who had spent years learning beside her, carried the work forward. What began as preservation became something new: a collection shaped by two generations of looking closely.

Provenance
Every piece arrives with its own journey. When known, that history travels with it—the decade, the maker, the city of origin. When unknown, honesty stands in its place. No invented stories. No embellished claims.
Discernment
Selection is not accumulation. Each item here has passed through careful hands and a critical eye. Condition, craftsmanship, design merit—these determine what stays and what moves on. The collection remains small by design.

Behind the Collection
Lisa Wolk brings more than twenty years of experience to this work. She has studied costume jewelry across eras and makers, developed relationships with specialists and collectors, and built an eye trained by thousands of hours of careful looking.
For signed and marked pieces, Lisa consults with licensed jewelers to ensure accurate identification and honest representation. Every item is inspected, documented, and photographed thoroughly before it reaches you.
